I finished my book today, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. I would definitely recommend this one! Great read! I read it in like less than 4 days too, hehe, I am such a book worm. I love it! Does anyone have any great ideas for my next book read? I love the library, I can request a bazillion books and not spend my money like crazy buying them (though I do have to do that once in a while, I love the feel and smell of a new book).
Today has been one of those definitely below 10,000 steps days. I might be getting sick or some such crap, not too thrilled about that. I woke up feeling kinda icky and in a horrible funk, and it seemed to get worse the more the day went on. I went to the grocery store with Matt, HATE doing that, the grocery store is such a pain in my arse! Got some yummy food, which did help since now I'll actually have something to eat when I'm hungry. But of course I forgot to buy all the ingredients for my lemonade ice cream dessert I have to make for this coming Thursday. Blasted!
I'm considering watching some 24 since Matt and his kids have gone to the shooting range, or whatever the heck it is. I love that series. I'm just on season 2, but I've really become hooked. Haven't really watched it on TV when it's on cause I'm not one to ruin what's going to happen and watch other seasons, ya know. Good series though! I need something to watch on TV now that Gilmore Girls is over for good. :( Does anyone have any ideas?

when friday night lights comes out on dvd, you should watch that! it was my favorite this season. also, thanks to hayley, i've been cracking up over arrested development season one. we watched 24 last season and this one, but i thought it sucked this year and i think i'll throw the towel in. do you watch lost? lost is the best to watch on dvd. you have 3 seasons to catch up on, but you have until february... as for books...i just finished the history of love, you can read my full thoughts on my blog to see if you might be interested. my absolute favorie book is "a prayer for owen meany" by john irving. SUCH a great read!
Ok, I love watching so you think you can dance. I have watched the last three seasons. It is on Wed. or Thursday nights. I think it is fun to watch. Yes it is kind of a reality show. But I love it anyways. So don't know if that interest you. Just a thought or ya.
mel, i loved snow flower too. i read it about 6 months ago & my bookclub read it. it was a great book for discussion. for tv - i'd suggest the shield. you can get seasons on dvd. the season just ended. that's one of my favorite tv shows. and arrested development is the funniest.
Thanks for all the great ideas girls! I'm going to have to try those!
I haven't read that book yet, but it's on my list! I was really into Gilmore Girls, also, but when Luke & Lorelai broke up, I was sort of disappointed and kind of got out of it. I did really like it. If you can, get into Lost on DVD. it really is so great. Also, The Office, So You Think You Can Dance...
Oh, I want to recommend Eleni by Nicholas Gage. It's an older book, but it's fascinating.
K girls I just requested Lost from the library. I've heard such great things about it and since you all approve I figure I better give it a try.
