Creepy Crawlies!

The past few days have been total craziness in my life. Thursday at school we had our invention fair, the kids loved it, and heck I don't have to really plan anything, it's great. Only it was freaking exhausting. We invited 2nd grade to come and marvel in our wonderful inventions (thank you Hayley!), had parents come after lunch, and the rest of the 3rd grade classes came after that. I seriously was considering downing a whole bottle of Motrin by the time lunch came around. I did survive the day, barely, but I was so exhausted, I just wanted to go home and sleep for the rest of my life with peace and quiet. Not gonna happen. I had my card club that same night, love it usually, only I really wasn't too excited about not being able to relax by myself, ya know. I drove home after school, sat on the couch and vegetated for 2 hours, grabbed my yummy dessert, recipe cards, cute cards, and drove back again to my sister's house (she does live close to my school). I had a good time, I love doing this once a month, but I was so tired! I didn't leave until around 9pm, because my Ashlie needed me. Of course I would do anything for her, or my cute Garrett (my sister's kids for those of you that don't know).

Friday after school we went up to Joanne's cabin (one of the other 3rd grade teachers). It was fun I guess, more food for me, and we did get to leave school a little early. However, those of you that know me know how outdoorsy I am NOT! The cabin of course was in the outdoors, and there were at least a bazillion or more bugs and scary flying ants that were as big as small children. Now I wouldn't mind too much, if you noticed, I said TOO much, if these scary creepy monster insects would have left me alone, but NO they kept trying to eat me. Not a good experience for me. Now, I need to also mention that I drove up there with Kim (also another 3rd grade teacher. Love her! She keeps me sane). Kim and I then drove with Joanne up the skinny scary road to the cabin. Let me tell you how terrified Kim and I were at times. We were praying and thanking God for keeping us alive and on the road. We thought we were going to tip over many times and fall down the cliff to a fiery and painful death. Goodness! So glad I made it back alive.

Saturday, overall was a wonderful day. Matt went to Logan in the morning to build his dad shelves or whatnot for his Father's Day, and then picked the boys up. Pretty much I had the day to myself. Loved it! I read and relaxed as much as possible. Yay for me! They got home around 6:30, I'd made tacos, we ate, blah blah. Then they decided to go up the mountains to the shooting range, or whatever it's called, and pick up "brass"...blah blah....long story. They come back with a tarantula, yes, you heard me, A TARANTULA they found on the mountain. If you remember I'm not an outdoorsy person, I don't like creepy monster insects. If I had my choice I would readily accept creepy monster insects to scary, nightmarish, spiders!! I have major arachnophobia, okay, did I spell that right? I can not kill a spider by myself without getting myself pumped and taking at least 30 minutes to get close enough to throw something at it. I freaked out when he brought that evil monster into my house! It is now dead, it died on the way home I guess, and sitting in a container in my freezer. Why you may ask, I don't know. But I have not opened that freezer door, or been able to feel comfortable in my home. I hate boys!!

Mel, tat is pretty funny! Maybe you should ask Matt to take that dang spider out if you are scared of them. As for I am not scaared of spiders. I went to go get my scriptures today out of my church bag and there was a spider in my scriptures. Yeah that freaked me out a bit not know it was there until it crawled out when I picked them up out of my bag.

That's funny--gross having a spider in the freezer. I HATE spiders--I feel for you! I love that you had a nice relaxing day to your self--you need to post some of your cards!

We went to the Grand Canyon a few years ago, and ran over a tarantula. we weren't sure what we hit so we turned around, it looked like shredded tires all of the road. It was huge! Ew! hate bugs too!
