Alice

I was playing around with Amazon.com. Love that site! I buy so much from them whether it's books and such for my classroom, books and dvds for myself, or gifts for others. Its my favorite place to go and look for anything I want, or think I want. I found Alice in Wonderland. This is the one that was on TV sometime in the 80's I think. It's like 2 or 3 hours or something so I remember it was on in parts. I so loved it! I think it had like the Disney kind of Alice in Wonderland in the first half, and then through the looking glass for the last part. It's got a jabberwocky, which I thought was very scary at the time, yes, I am somewhat of a wimp. Ha! Anyway, I'm very tempted to buy it, of course when I have more money, since I don't have any at the moment. Has anyone else seen this movie? Or am I the only strange one that remembers it and loved it?

YAY! I did it!

I'm so excited! Today when I went over to Hayley's we went shopping. We didn't get the capri pants I was hoping at Old Navy, blasted! I'm still in search of dark wash jean capris, with the cuff at the bottom, so if anyone has any ideas of where I might find them, not too expensive of course, let me know. Anyway, we went to Target to get me a pedometer. I've been wanting one forever, since Hayley has one and I think they're a great idea. And how easy is that to do something at least to be somewhat more healthy. Sadly, the one she has was out of stock, and the one close to it also wasn't there. Yes, not my day today! But I found one that's just a little nicer, and once I actually figured out how to use it. I mean, I had to put all these things into it, like my stride or whatever. The funny thing is I had to walk like 10 steps, measure it (i had some issues with throwing the tape measure out of my reach. Ha!), but I finally did it. I put in all the necessary information and tada, I've got it hooked up. Now I've quite obsessed about walking around and checking to see how many steps I've done. Hehe. Sadly, we're not saying here how many steps I've done today, but however in my defense, I have only had it hooked up for less than a day. Maybe tomorrow will be better. So excited to play with my new toy! And by the way, the picture isn't really a picture of MY pedometer. But I couldn't find one of my actual one, so I had to use that one. Mine is just cool with all these fancy features and junk. Yay for me!

Okay, so that is REALLY a picture of MY pedometer now. Hehe! I googled it until I could find it. Just wanted to share.

'Ello Govna

Oh my gosh! I was so excited when I found this online. This is my all time favorite commercial, to date anyway. Click on the one with the guys sitting around the crate to see it. I couldn't figure out how to put the YouTube thing on here with my blog, so it's over on the side. I figured that was close enough. Everytime I saw it (all of 3 times those blasted tv people) I would laugh hysterically. Why is it that the best commercials are never played enough and the annoying ones are on ALL the time. Or is it that those are the best too but we get sick of them? Hmm...interesting thing to consider. Anyway, back to my fav commercial. One of my teacher friends at school had also seen this commercial, there's a very select few who have by the way. She said "ello govna" and I started laughing so hard so that's been our favorite thing to say since. Hehe I'm even thought more seriously about buying Raisin Bran Crunch because of how funny it was. I used to eat Raisin Bran cereal when I was little, maybe it would've brought back nostalgic memories. So let me know what you think about my fav! And do me a favor and laugh a few extras for me!

Okay, so sometimes its not loading! Why is that? It's upsetting me. Make sure you click on the right one, ha! Or you might think I'm some sort of weirdo, well you might think that anyway, but I'm going to be very sad if you can't see my commercial! Its the one with the 3 guys sitting around a crate, in case you can't find it. Ha! That would be the 2nd time now I've said that. Oh goodness, now I'm just worried.

The first one, the "nightmare" one or whatever is funny! The guy on there is laughing as much as I do. Haha! Only it's sort of a freaky ending, but whatever. I was laughing alone with him. 'ello govna! Now I'm just laughing hysterically. I so love this!!!

Celebrity Look Alikes

That celebrity look alike thing is fun. Thanks Natalie for the idea. It made me laugh on some of the ones that came up for me, and some of the people I had no idea who they were, but it still gave me great entertainment. The funny thing is that I'm now looking for pictures of all of my family members to see who comes up for them. Haha! This is such a great toy. Yes, I am entertained easily, but no complaints there.

Twilight

So I've been reading this book I ordered from Amazon (yes, I'm a book freak) and I've been so good at checking books out from the library that I gave in to my obsession to buy 2 books. Ha! It's called Twilight, and the 2nd in New Moon, both by Stephenie Meyer. I'm loving it! Kim, from school, told me about it and it sounded interesting, so I trusted her. It's about Vampires, totally not my cup of tea, but it is a good book. When Matt saw the front cover on the book he was like, "why is there a picture of hands and an apple", wanting to have an answer I just said the first thing I could think of. "umm....the hands are for the like the paleness of the vampire...and umm....the apple is for the blood." Haha! I just crack myself up sometimes. But it does work though, right? Sorta? I got the book on Thursday, well, I had to pick it up from the post office because our stupid apartment mailbox is so teeny tiny it wouldn't fit the box so they left me one of those notices that there's a package to pick up. I get so pissed off I tell you when I get those, cause I know I'm going to get to the post office when it's out of control busy. When is the post office not busy? I have no patience for that. Ugh! Anyway, I picked it up on Thursday, and have been reading it madly since. Almost done now, only 100 pages to go, and I want to finish it right now. Only we're leaving to my mom's in a bit for my brother's birthday. I love him! But this book is definitely one I would recommend, it's on the New York Times bestseller list too...imagine that. I can't wait to start the next book, New Moon, and then the 3rd one comes out in August I think. Very excited!

Pathetic!

K, so I'm sure that all of you that read my blog (I do apologize you poor people!) are being tortured to no end. I read everyone else's and it's so entertaining, sometimes funny, and quite informative at times. Then I look at my own and it's like boring! I can't even figure out how to get my blasted pictures from my camera to work on here. It's pissing me off! I get it so it says it's on here or whatever, only it won't stinking open. Yeah, some days I just give up cause I'm sick of it. How pathetic am I? But I do enjoy reading every other blog. Sadly I do check them many times during the day. I love it! My goal while I'm off track is trying to make my blog a bit more exciting. If you notice, I said "a bit" because I just know its too optimistic to think it'll turn out to be some sort of wonderful masterpiece. I can still dream though. Ha!

I'm currently planning out my great 3 weeks of off track. Ya gotta love it! It's such a wonderful feeling knowing I don't have to do anything for a couple weeks. I do have the basic sleeping in, reading Harry Potter 5 and 6 before the movie and book 7 come out, visiting my favorite niece and nephew (ok, so they're my only niece and nephew, but still I'm sure they'd be my favorite), and doing all sort of magnificent time wasters. Yay for me!

Did you notice the fun picture of the Crocs I'm dying to get? I went to the mall tonight with Matt and tried them on in the shoe store. Love them! Thanks to Hayley I've been craving them and coveting them most greatly! I'm thinking I will need to return to that store shortly and get them. In my defense I haven't bought new shoes in at least a couple month, no wait, not since last fall, that's a long time, right? :)

Fun Fun Fun

Ok, so currently I'm working on taking pictures of my cards I've made in my fabulous card club and posting them on here. I love putting pictures on here, just cause I think it looks so cool, and it makes me feel special that I can make it look all pretty, instead of just my boring rambling. Well, of course I'll still be rambling on and on, but also with a pretty picture next to it. Hehe. I'm also going to put a picture of my tote bag (thank you Holly) that I got at the Women's Conference. It's so cute and I haven't been able to share the joy with enough people yet. The really pathetic thing, if you think about it, is that I'm writing about taking picture and putting them on here, when you think I'd actually be DOING it. Ha! Yes, that is my goal for tonight. Wish me luck. Crap! My clothes AND the dinner in the oven are ready at the same time. Hate that. What I hate even more is that I'm still typing and everything is beeping at me, sure not acting like I care too much.

I Hate Mondays

Today is definitely a Monday! After getting to school, I found out that during the weekend, vandals broke windows in the 3 of the grade doors, and burned the stuff in our recycling bin. Beasts! What an awful way to start out the day. We had to bring our kids in through the 2nd grade doors since the 3rd grade doors were ones that were broken. One of students that was gone all of last week for testing isn't here again today. He better stinking come so he can make up the bazillion tests he missed! I also find out today that resource is not testing my kids until I come back on track. That is just another annoyance in my life! I hate the idea that I'm all finished with my testing, I want to get rid of my tests, obviously! But now I have to store the dang things while I'm off track. Blasted! Today is just not going too well! I'm hoping it'll get better, not worse before the day is done.

Gilmore Girls

Can I just say how much I love Gilmore Girls! I'm such a fan, and go through major withdrawls whenever I miss an episode. However, I do get pissed when they show rerun after rerun, and of course I never miss turning it on to see if it's new. And then the ONE time I forget to check if its new, it is! Anyway, back to my point, yes I do have one. I'm so sad that the series is ending next Tuesday. My mom and I used to watch this every week while I was living at home. Since I've been married she has watched most, and I've caught her up with the ones she's missed. Last week she couldn't watch because of her book club I think that she had. I of course, being the wonderful daughter, caught her up on the minute by minute replay. Aren't I just the greatest! I'm getting very worried that next weeks is going to be a very disappointing finale for me. I have great hopes that Lorelie (oh my goodness, I can't think how to spell that) and Luke will get together FINALLY and be married. I've already been sad with Rory not marrying Logan (I did start to like him after a shaking beginning of his cockiness). I've heard rumor that they don't want to end the show with a wedding because the idea of the movie was to be the "mother/daughter relationship". I still don't see how they can't have a relationship still even if Rory and Lorelai (ha! i figured it out!) are married in the end, but whatever! Besides, since no one is engaged yet, it's really not possible to have a wedding in the next episode. I guess as long a they give us great hopes of Lorelai and Logan then I might accept it. Anyway, enough of my rambling, for now anyway.

My Cute Kids

Ok, so some days I just think and think of what I could write about to make a new blog. Yes, I know it's quite boring some days, but I get so excited to write something new. Hehe This week is Teacher Appreciation week, and I love some of my cute kids (if you notice I said CUTE kids, which is very different from ALL kids). One of my sweethearts has brought me a gift every day (I love getting presents). Monday he brought a package of 6 different ribbons, and brads (those of you that don't know I'm into making cards thanks to my sister). Yesterday he brought a package of 6 cards and envelopes that his mom made of course (she's in my card club too...hehe). Today he brings a package of eyelets, and little pink squares. I'm so spoiled! By the way, everything had something pink in it, my favorite color of course. I'm so excited to go home now and admire and play with all of my cute accessories for card making. Can't wait to see what I get tomorrow!

Good Books

Has anyone read any good books lately? I'm in need of one. I'm reading Harry Potter 5, for the 2nd time, to get ready for the movie this summer. But I also want a good book I haven't read yet, ya know. I liked Skinny Dip, thanks Hayley, so I was thinking of reading another book by him, Carl Hiaasen, or something? Anyway, if anyone has any good ideas, please let me know.

Women's Conference

My mom and I went to Women's Conference in Provo yesterday. We went last year, and had a great time so we thought we'd make it a tradition and try and go every year. The first thing we did was each bought a tote bag (Hehe, we have our priorities right). It's adorable. Got a bunch of pockets, a water bottle that fits in the netting bag on the side, and it's pink and brown. So cute! We also had lunch with my brother, and it was great to see him. We went to a couple speakers, then left before the closing session thing. Last year we stayed too late, and hit the horrific traffic jam of everyone leaving. It took us about 45 minutes just to get out of the parking lot. This year we didn't really want to be caught in all of that, so we left a little earlier. We had a great time!

Update on Jane Clayson Johnson

I did go to see Jane Clayson Johnson speak, by myself by the way. Yay for me! I was glad that I went. She's a great speaker! I bought her book I Am A Mother for my mom for Mother's Day (shhh, don't tell) and myself. I had already read it before last night because I was so excited! The only little disappointing thing about last night is that the stories she told I'd already read about in her book. It was still fun to see her in person though. I was kind of hoping she'd sign books or something, but I guess since it was a church function they didn't do that, which was ok. At the end she answered questions for about 15 minutes, which was kinda fun. She told us more about her son, William, that she gave birth to at only 6 months, scary! She was 37 or 38 I think when she had her first baby. She just barely turned 40 and has 2 kids, under the age of 3. That gives me hope! :) Anyway, I had a great time last night, very happy I went.

Jane Clayson Johnson

My stake is having Jane Clayson Johnson as our enrichment speaker tonight. For those of you who don't know who she is (like me when I first heard her name) she worked for some channel as a news broadcaster in Salt Lake, and then did the Early Show and things like thing. She then quit her job to become a mom. She wrote a book just recently called I Am a Mother. I've been very excited for tonight. I invited my mom to come with me, but she's sick and can't come now. I think she's more disappointed than I am, which I am VERY sad. :( Anyway, I then asked my sister today if maybe she could come with me, for it's SO much more fun to go with someone. She can't because she has to give her Salt Lake Community College math final tonight. Poor me! No one to go with. What shall I do??
