For the past many months, can't really remember how long, our school had this project thingy where whenever a kid saw someone else doing something nice they put their name on a paper, and at the end of the week or whatever we had to count up the number of names and make a paper chain that we hang in our classroom or hall. K, so I wasn't so thrilled about this, thought it was the stupidest idea ever, I'm not one for making a stupid waste of my time. Hated the idea, complained greatly about it to whoever would listen. Anyway, this project got explained to our kids probably a couple weeks before we went off track. Well, I explained to them that since we were so close to going off track we wouldn't be participating until we came back. You may think I'm evil, oh just you wait, this isn't even close to evil yet.
After coming back on track (don't forget this is months ago because I really can't remember how long ago this all started, I think I have selective memory disorder), our team would always leave their chains up rather than taking them down and starting fresh every time. When we come back there were chains up from the class before ours. My kids asked me a few times, "When are we going to do the chain thing?" I, with a very straight face, answered, "We did already, remember? Look, it's up there on the wall." Now I very truly was waiting for a child to be like, "What the? No we haven't?" And then I would just have laughed because I do love making myself laugh. However, none of the students challenged me on that, they thought for a moment and then said, "Oh yeah!"
Needless to say we never did do this waste of time, stupid, ridiculous chain thing. Hehe. See how I'm so evil! Oh my goodness, and that I just admitted that to all of you. You must be so relieved your child isn't in my class. That is my confession of the day, so far anyway.

just make a parent volunteer be in charge of it. its seriously helped my kids rotten behavior go away & we got "Ordinary Mary" out of it!
i did like that book i must admit!
That's hilarious. I love that you got a good laugh out of it for the pure fun of it. How funny.
If you're evil, then I'm evil
