Yay for Sales!

Hey girls. Remember how Hayley told us about that wonderful foot lotion, Heel of Approval, I think it's called? Well, I just got an email from Bath and Body Works, I sign up to get their advertisements and such. They're having a semi annual sale, and it seems like almost everything is on sale somehow. The foot lotion, which is what I really want, is buy 2 get 2 free. It's $15 normally, so I'm quite excited about that! I'll definitely be heading over to the mall after school today. Wanted to share the excitement with everyone. I think the sale with the foot lotions and such is until July 3rd. Head over and get your stuff while you can.

I actually went to the mall last week and looked at some, considered buying it (when it wasn't on sale mind you), but thought I would wait since I still have some of my old kind, and I was hoping it'd go on sale soon. How lucky am I! So glad I didn't buy it then. :)

My Holy Capris

I love my capri pants, especially jean capri pants. I have a few pair of fun colored capri's and only one jean capris. I live in jeans, so during the summer I am constantly washing my one pair of jean capris. Needless to say, they have completely worn out. The sad thing is, when I bought them a year ago, they already had to "distressed" look with a ton of ready made holes in the legs. I wasn't too thrilled about it, but I did love the way they fit. I started getting bigger holes the beginning of the spring I think it was. I started my search for a new pair of favorite capris. Of course, whenever you're looking for something in particular you never can find it, right? Yup, I couldn't find any. I've very picky when it comes to my jeans, and I really really really wanted some with cuffs. I would see other people wearing some cute ones with cuffs and would ask, "hey, where'd you get those?" They'd tell me, but by the time I went to that store they didn't have ANY. I was very frustrated because I knew my "holey" capris would not hold up much longer. About a week ago I got a little hole in my crotch. I figured you couldn't really see it unless you were looking at my crotch, and I sure as heck hoped that no one would be looking there!

Last Monday night I set out with Matt on a trek to find me a new pair of cuffed capri jeans. We went to 3 stores before I gave up. My sister told me to look online. DUH! I should have thought of that before. I ordered a pair from Old Navy (the picture up above), Kohl's, and Victoria's Secret. I figured if I ordered from different places I was more likely to find one I liked. In the meantime, the whole in my crotch started getting bigger, and Bigger, and BIGGER! Those jeans are now banished to Sundays only. hehe.. Get it? "Holy" pants. HAHA. I can't bear to part with them yet however. Today I wore some of my cute pink capris, but I commented to everyone that I was very worried about what I was going to wear for the rest of the week. The pair from Kohl's wasn't expected until Thursday, Victoria's Secret is back ordered until who knows when, and I really didn't know when Old Navy was coming. I knew with my luck it probably wouldn't come until the end of the week too.

Lo and behold, when I got home from work today there was a fun little notice on my door that the UPS man had been there. At first I was worried because usually when I see that it means that I've missed him but he hasn't left me the dang package. I was so excited to see that this time he had left it at the office. YAY!! I got my pants. I'm wearing them now actually, ya know, I have to break them in and make sure I like them before tomorrow, right? :)

Feel the Burn

I woke up at 6 this morning, sometimes I'll snooze until 6:30 if I decide I don't want to curl my hair. I decided I'm going to try and work out every morning, or at least Monday through Friday and take Saturday and Sunday off. I popped in my Pilates DVD working on my buns and thighs. It was great! I felt the burn, and had much more energy when I was done. Sadly, I didn't get my hair curled today, but I think I have a good excuse for it this time.

I think if I can keep up this plan of mine, maybe I'll look better in my fun and cute bikinis I have. Not too thrilled to take have people stare at me with my ugliness at the moment. :) But I seem to have motivation, so far, and it's feeling great.

Okay, so this isn't the exact DVD I have, but it was as close as I could find at the moment. I got the package with the circle, or whatever it's called. I've had it for a while, I used to use it a lot more, so now it's time I put it back to use.

Now this is the right DVD now. I finally found it. How fun is that. I love it.

My Cell Phone Story

After hearing Hayley's and Jori's funny cell phone stories, I needed to share mine that it made me think of. I found it funny at the time. About a year ago, I get a phone call from this psycho, yeah, he really got on my nerves after a while. Though I did laugh about it. Okay, here goes:

Ring Ring Me: Hello? Pscyho: Yes, is Brian there. Me: No, you have the wrong number. Psycho: Do you know where I can reach him? Me: No, how would I know where to reach him when there is no Brian that lives here. Psycho: Is this the Johnson residence? Me: No. Psycho: Well it says that on your answering machine Me: Actually, no it doesn't since my last name isn't Johnson, stupid!! Psycho: Will you just put Brian on the phone? Me: I don't know a BRIAN!!!!!

I'd had enough entertainment by this time and hung up on him.

Lost

I checked out Lost from the library yesterday. I've got the first 2 discs from season 1. I was so excited last night that I watched 3 episodes with Matt, while he was sorting his brass bullet things. Yeah, I'm already so addicted! It just keeps you going, I HAD to see what happened on the next episode so I kept watching. Love it! I can't wait to get home from school today and watch some more. I've already got the next 2 discs on hold at the library. Yay! I just need to say that I love Matthew Fox, plays Jack, he's so cute! I loved him when he was on Party of Five, one of my favorite series from forever ago. I have the first season of that too, yeah, I'm a little crazy sometimes. I do need to thank all of you cute girls that suggested my watching Lost.

Check Out My Cards

Hey! I finally did it! Are y'all proud? Yay for me! I had Matt help me take workable pictures and put them on his laptop, since he knows how to do it on his, not mine, and then I made this fun slide show thing. Do you like it? I'm so proud of me! I get to finally show off all my hard work. Let me know what you think.

Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again

Matt and I are thinking of going to Las Vegas in July for our anniversary. It was actually my idea, since I love to travel and go places. We've only been to Jackson Hole for snowmobile competitions since we got married, and I thought it'd be fun to do something different, and celebrate our anniversary at the same time. My sister and her husband went to Las Vegas a few months ago and saw Phantom of the Opera while they were there. I love that, and want to see it. I'm looking into finding some sort of package that would include that. I've found one at the Venetian with a 2 night stay, including 2 tickets to Phantom for $638. Not cheap or anything, but it might be worth it. I think it'd be fun, though Matt's not necessarily set on seeing Phantom, he's never seen it actually, but I think it'd be great. This is a picture of the Venetian, never stayed there before, kind of excited about that.

Creepy Crawlies!

The past few days have been total craziness in my life. Thursday at school we had our invention fair, the kids loved it, and heck I don't have to really plan anything, it's great. Only it was freaking exhausting. We invited 2nd grade to come and marvel in our wonderful inventions (thank you Hayley!), had parents come after lunch, and the rest of the 3rd grade classes came after that. I seriously was considering downing a whole bottle of Motrin by the time lunch came around. I did survive the day, barely, but I was so exhausted, I just wanted to go home and sleep for the rest of my life with peace and quiet. Not gonna happen. I had my card club that same night, love it usually, only I really wasn't too excited about not being able to relax by myself, ya know. I drove home after school, sat on the couch and vegetated for 2 hours, grabbed my yummy dessert, recipe cards, cute cards, and drove back again to my sister's house (she does live close to my school). I had a good time, I love doing this once a month, but I was so tired! I didn't leave until around 9pm, because my Ashlie needed me. Of course I would do anything for her, or my cute Garrett (my sister's kids for those of you that don't know).

Friday after school we went up to Joanne's cabin (one of the other 3rd grade teachers). It was fun I guess, more food for me, and we did get to leave school a little early. However, those of you that know me know how outdoorsy I am NOT! The cabin of course was in the outdoors, and there were at least a bazillion or more bugs and scary flying ants that were as big as small children. Now I wouldn't mind too much, if you noticed, I said TOO much, if these scary creepy monster insects would have left me alone, but NO they kept trying to eat me. Not a good experience for me. Now, I need to also mention that I drove up there with Kim (also another 3rd grade teacher. Love her! She keeps me sane). Kim and I then drove with Joanne up the skinny scary road to the cabin. Let me tell you how terrified Kim and I were at times. We were praying and thanking God for keeping us alive and on the road. We thought we were going to tip over many times and fall down the cliff to a fiery and painful death. Goodness! So glad I made it back alive.

Saturday, overall was a wonderful day. Matt went to Logan in the morning to build his dad shelves or whatnot for his Father's Day, and then picked the boys up. Pretty much I had the day to myself. Loved it! I read and relaxed as much as possible. Yay for me! They got home around 6:30, I'd made tacos, we ate, blah blah. Then they decided to go up the mountains to the shooting range, or whatever it's called, and pick up "brass"...blah blah....long story. They come back with a tarantula, yes, you heard me, A TARANTULA they found on the mountain. If you remember I'm not an outdoorsy person, I don't like creepy monster insects. If I had my choice I would readily accept creepy monster insects to scary, nightmarish, spiders!! I have major arachnophobia, okay, did I spell that right? I can not kill a spider by myself without getting myself pumped and taking at least 30 minutes to get close enough to throw something at it. I freaked out when he brought that evil monster into my house! It is now dead, it died on the way home I guess, and sitting in a container in my freezer. Why you may ask, I don't know. But I have not opened that freezer door, or been able to feel comfortable in my home. I hate boys!!

I Love Kristi!

Kristi it came!! I was so excited when I got home today, there was a note that the office at my complex had your package. Yay! You're the best! I love everything! Seriously! I was so happy! I love you! Here's what Kristi gave me:

A Barnes and Noble gift card. YAY! I so love books, I will be in there for hours!

Bath and Body Works White Cherry Blossom bubble bath. Yummy!

Henri Bendel Vanilla Flower body lotion. This is the best picture I could find.

Aromatherapy Ylang Rose body lotion. mmmmmm!

Red Vines. Yummy!

Chex Mix 100 calorie packs. Yum. I can take these to school to munch on during the day.

She gave me 3 more things, but I couldn't find pictures really. An adorable PINK (yes, my favorite color) scrapbook, can't wait to use it! Yummy Dove chocolates with caramel, they didn't really melt Kristi! And a fun mix CD, excited to listen to it. Thank you! Thank you!!

Liar Liar Pants on Fire

For the past many months, can't really remember how long, our school had this project thingy where whenever a kid saw someone else doing something nice they put their name on a paper, and at the end of the week or whatever we had to count up the number of names and make a paper chain that we hang in our classroom or hall. K, so I wasn't so thrilled about this, thought it was the stupidest idea ever, I'm not one for making a stupid waste of my time. Hated the idea, complained greatly about it to whoever would listen. Anyway, this project got explained to our kids probably a couple weeks before we went off track. Well, I explained to them that since we were so close to going off track we wouldn't be participating until we came back. You may think I'm evil, oh just you wait, this isn't even close to evil yet.

After coming back on track (don't forget this is months ago because I really can't remember how long ago this all started, I think I have selective memory disorder), our team would always leave their chains up rather than taking them down and starting fresh every time. When we come back there were chains up from the class before ours. My kids asked me a few times, "When are we going to do the chain thing?" I, with a very straight face, answered, "We did already, remember? Look, it's up there on the wall." Now I very truly was waiting for a child to be like, "What the? No we haven't?" And then I would just have laughed because I do love making myself laugh. However, none of the students challenged me on that, they thought for a moment and then said, "Oh yeah!"

Needless to say we never did do this waste of time, stupid, ridiculous chain thing. Hehe. See how I'm so evil! Oh my goodness, and that I just admitted that to all of you. You must be so relieved your child isn't in my class. That is my confession of the day, so far anyway.

Bellas

My sister found this great site with Bella stamps. So adorable! A couple months ago we bought a whole bunch of them, well I did anyway. They are so cute and I wanted so many I had the hardest time deciding. I'm going to post a picture of my favorite one. You need to check it out, so much fun. Those of you that know me know how much I'm obsessed with shoes, so I thought the shoe Bella was appropriate.

We decided to order some more Bella stuff a couple weeks ago, cute words and such that go along with our stamps. It just came Monday and I was so excited. Sadly, I had to wait until last night to pick it up since I had a blasted dentist appointment on Monday, I really do hate the dentist! Ick! Yesterday after school I was getting very anxious to leave. We had a team leader meeting which was suppose to be short, but it didn't seem all that short to me when I'm more than ready to go. Ugh! But yes, I did eventually get much cute stamps. Love them! I could seriously buy so many of them they're so cute! I'm actually using the flower Bella on my cards this month for card club. I'll have to post them soon so you can see how fun!

Harry Potter in 38 Days!

I'm such a huge Harry Potter fan, have all the books many time, seen all the movie at the theater and bought the DVD's when they come out. I've been contemplating if I should pre-order the Harry Potter 7 book, The Deathly Hallows. In the past I've always gone to Target on the day it comes out and been just fine in buying my book. However, this time I'm worried that because it's the last book and all that shmezel it'll be out when I want it, and I want it right away! I'm obsessive like that. I looked online at the different places you can order it from. Amazon seems to be the best, in that it's $17.99 for the book, and if you do standard shipping for $4 they guarantee that you'll receive it on the day it's released. That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. The only problem I could see would be if I wasn't home to receive it from the postman or the UPS dude. Then of course I wouldn't be able to get it until the following Monday, way too long to wait in my book (haha, book, get it?!). Hmmm...so, do I order it and then make sure I stay home that day until I get it? Decisions, decisions. I do think I'd feel a much greater peace of mind if I order it and not have to think about getting to Target and finding my much waited book out of stock. Has anyone else pre-ordered their book? Any ideas where to look for a good deal?

Run Forrest! Run!

I was totally late leaving my apartment this morning. It's my own fault too, which kills me. I was running early this morning, so I was taking me time more than usual, figured I'd catch up on some blogs I haven't read lately. The next time I glanced at the clock it was definitely much later than I thought it was. Crap! I frantically rushed around, grabbed my lunch (or what I thought was ALL my lunch, forgot the dang bun for my hamburger!), and rushed out the door. This is a picture of me running out to my car, okay, so not really, but don't I look great with my fit body and long blond hair. hehe Needless to say I was driving like a mad woman down the freeway, looking for cops as I went along. Hehe. I did make it to school, without causing too many fatal crashes on my way, just kidding, just in time too. Whew! What a way to start my Monday.

And of course after getting to school and putting most of my lunch in the fridge, I realized I don't have the dang bun for my hamburger. Blasted! Now I need to decide do I eat it without, not too appetizing at the moment, or do I save it for tomorrow and go buy something today. I did bring some of my yummy Mountain Dew though, I might need some of that soon to get through this morning. Hmmm...

Oh, I just remembered, did everyone know that Vanilla Coke is back?!?! Yes, I was most ecstatic! YAY for me!!! I've been saving a case of it since it got discontinued or whatever you call it a few years back. As soon as I got back from the grocery store I busted out that 12 pack and drank to my hearts content. Yes, I will soon be enjoying the delicious taste of the best drink in the world as often as I want. Woo hoo!

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

I finished my book today, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. I would definitely recommend this one! Great read! I read it in like less than 4 days too, hehe, I am such a book worm. I love it! Does anyone have any great ideas for my next book read? I love the library, I can request a bazillion books and not spend my money like crazy buying them (though I do have to do that once in a while, I love the feel and smell of a new book).

Today has been one of those definitely below 10,000 steps days. I might be getting sick or some such crap, not too thrilled about that. I woke up feeling kinda icky and in a horrible funk, and it seemed to get worse the more the day went on. I went to the grocery store with Matt, HATE doing that, the grocery store is such a pain in my arse! Got some yummy food, which did help since now I'll actually have something to eat when I'm hungry. But of course I forgot to buy all the ingredients for my lemonade ice cream dessert I have to make for this coming Thursday. Blasted!

I'm considering watching some 24 since Matt and his kids have gone to the shooting range, or whatever the heck it is. I love that series. I'm just on season 2, but I've really become hooked. Haven't really watched it on TV when it's on cause I'm not one to ruin what's going to happen and watch other seasons, ya know. Good series though! I need something to watch on TV now that Gilmore Girls is over for good. :( Does anyone have any ideas?

My Guestbook

Hey all! Check out the bottom of my blog, I added a guest book. Loads of fun! Add yourself so I can enjoy being entertained. Haha. I'm such a nerd, but I thought it was the coolest thing, and I always love adding something to my blog, since it seems so boring compared to other fun ones. I need to figure out how to add my dang pictures of my cards and such already, it's getting on my nerves. It's probably about time too. I blame it on Matt, cause he's the one that broke his desktop, which I have NO problem adding pictures and such on there. And I need to blame someone else besides myself. Anyway, since I really don't have anything else to talk about at the moment, I think I'll stop here. But, yes, do sign my book at the bottom!

Frozen Lemonade Ice Cream Dessert

Of course this isn't a picture of the dessert, but I thought it was fun anyway. I love the recipe, and it's so easy. Yummy! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

2 cups graham crackers
6 Tablespoons melted margarine (butter)
Half-gallon vanilla ice cream
12 oz. can lemonade concentrate

Mix together butter and graham crackers. Remove 1/4 cup for the top. Spread around in 9 x 13 pan, using spatula to flatten. Soften vanilla ice cream (don't melt). Add lemonade concentrate (don't dilute) to ice cream. Pour the lemonade and ice cream over the graham cracker crust. Sprinkle the remaining graham crackers on top. Freeze. Thaw 5 minutes before serving.

The Life

I'm sitting here on my couch, with a bulging tummy (yes, sometimes it is more bulgy than other times) after eating yummy tacos, gotta love those. I'm trying to decide if I should read some of my book I got today at the library, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, or see what mindless shows are on TV. I started back to school today, not the greatest day since the weather SUCKS, but I did survive. Not too thrilled about my kids coming back tomorrow though. Yucky for me. After getting home, I figured I'd work on my recipe cards I have to make for card club next week, or my cards. Well, considering I didn't buy enough dang paper for the cards, hate when I do that, I figured the recipe card was the way to go. You see, we have to make either a dessert or salad, and put the recipe on a fun 6 x 6 paper that goes in our albums, and then we trade with everyone. YAY! So excited about that. I got the cutest paper. I'm making a lemonade ice cream dessert, so I picked yellow paper, and fun polka dot pattern paper to go with it. So fun! I finished those this afternoon and was very proud of myself. I'd put a picture on here, but since I STILL haven't got my pictures downloaded on this thing, and I haven't gone through my camera accessory crap, no pictures. :( But trust me, they're fun!

Matt is still working nights on a condo that he is redoing for a lady in our ward. It's nice to get the extra money, however it's quite lonely at times. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my quiet time to read or do whatever I want, but after a while I get tired of being by myself. He usually hasn't been getting home until 11:00 pm or so. Hopefully he should be done by tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed. Maybe I'll actually get to see him on Friday and we could do something fun. Haven't done that in a quite a while actually!
