Start Panicking

Tonight and tomorrow night are Parent Teacher Conferences. Definitely not my favorite night of the year. I hate having to be here until 8pm at night. Talk about exhausting. Anyway, I must say I'm glad that I'm getting these over with before I go off track. It's much better to do them before rather than when I come back, less to dread ya know.

This past Tuesday as I was finishing up my grades I noticed one of my students was not on my list. Now, she moved in after the last conferences, the end of October. I told our secretary Wednesday morning about it and she was to contact our other secretary to get her password, blah blah blah because she normally wouldn't be back until Friday, definitely too late since this child's conference is Thursday.

I stressed about it all night. I know, it's only one student and I do have all of the other ones done already, but still I like to be prepared and not have to worry. This morning I go down to the office to talk to the secretary, and guess what? She's sick today. I tell our principal the same story and the other secretary calls the before mentioned secretary to get the password. But of course she doesn't answer her phone. Just my luck huh? In the meantime I guess I'll be printing a blank report card and filling that out for a just in case. Wish me luck tonight.

As a child I HATED parent teacher conferences. But I never thought a teacher would hate them. ;)

It will go just fine. It really will. You're great to be so concerned with having it all go well.

Good luck! My husband is a teacher, and I hate when he has P/T conf. He is such a chit-chatter!!!
