Why Me?! Why Now?! Why Today?!

Some of you may know I'm prone to urinary tract infections. Ucky. For the past few days I've been taking a ton of cranberry pills, this usually will work and lots of times things will get completely better. Upon waking up this morning things were definitely not better. I had horrible pains, and had to pee all the time. Yeah, not too thrilled about this. Driving to school I didn't think I was going to make it there before peeing my pants (though of course I really didn't have to pee after all). In the parking lot at school I was doubled over with pain, and also trying to control my bladder. Urgh! Of course my doctor's office doesn't open until after school starts. When I did talk to the operator, I had to wait until the nurse called me back. I've had to spontaneously dash to the bathroom (lucky for me it's just around the corner), before peeing my pants, and yet succumb to that wonderful burning sensation.

Yay! The nurse called me back and is calling in a prescription. Now I just need Matt to go pick it up for me, and I'll be looking forward to the relief. Hopefully before I die! So I loved this comic. I need one of these rooms to do my screaming in. Haha

Bear Lake

This weekend was hopefully going to be a few days of rest and relaxation after my crazy first week of school. However, this did not happen. Saturday morning we had to wake up at the butt crack of dawn to drive to Bear Lake for Matt's family reunion (Matt's obsessive idea, not mine I might add). Boring! I scorched the top of my shoulders and am now in mortal pain having to wear a regular shirt today. Ouchy for me. We spent all day until 6pm at this reunion. Sadly for me, Matt's other brother's with their wives were not present (darn lucky people). Finally by 7pm that evening we made it to the condos we were staying at in Bear Lake. To make things even better, we were blessed with the opportunity to share the condo with 5 VERY annoying flies. We couldn't eat without their company, and they also gave me the gift of being woken up at 7am Sunday morning with their buzzing in my ear. Needless to say I did not get enough rest that night. I'm just as tired today as I was last week. Not a good sign since I have a full week ahead of me. I was also hoping to get work done this weekend, that also did not happen since I wasn't home all weekend. Blasted!

Johnny Carinos Here We Come

Tonight is our Back to School Night. Yeah, not so thrilled about the idea of working all day, and all night. Especially when it's only the 2nd day of school and you're tired enough from the day as it is. I like when they have Meet the Teacher before school starts instead, then it's not as draining from teaching all day long. Oh well, I guess no one thought of asking me. Hehe

Today after school my team is going to Johnny Carinos for dinner. Yay! We figure since we'll be here until 8:00 and the school isn't feeding us, we'd go somewhere yummy. At least I'm getting something good out of this night. Any suggestions on what I should get?

I Did It!!

I finished Harry Potter tonight! I loved it! Oh my goodness, I'm so excited and want to talk about it with everyone. Has anyone else besides Jori also finished it? I want to know what everyone thought. So great!! And so excited that I'm finished it. I just spent the last oh, 3 hours or so finishing it. It was perfect that I had didn't have to work today, I really spent most of the day reading. What a great way to spend my day off.

My New Banner

Do you like my new banner that Natalie made me? She's just the greatest! I'm now trying to find a template that looks good with it. hehe! Any suggestions?

Let me say how excited I have been for Harry Potter today. I ordered it a month ago or so on Amazon. I have been not very patiently sitting on my bed staring out the window since around 8:30 this morning, waiting for it to arrive. I was messaging Hayley during part of this anxious waiting, comparing our experiences. Haha! Gotta love it. I took the fastest shower known to man, tried to take a nap, only to wake up at every noise. Finally, I see the mailman, yeah, surprise for me since I thought it was coming by UPS. He's holding a box that says, "HARRY POTTER". I dash for the door, throw it open, and YES, it's my beloved Harry. I'm so happy and content now.

No More Pain!

I'm back to school once again. It's crazy how fast my so called "summer vacation" is. Ha! Yeah, seriously, it's only 2 weeks since we're having teacher meetings this week. Yesterday we had meetings all day. It was on 6 Traits of Writing, which I thought was wonderful because I do really suck at that in my classroom. I've never been so great at teaching writing, so I found it helpful to get ideas and such on what to do specifically. Fun stuff. Well, since I had to listen to this from about 8 in the morning until about 4pm, without moving much, which those of you that know, I'm not the best at sitting and just listening, I get very very restless, not to mention my butt falls asleep. Needless to say I got extremely sleepy and starting zoning out by the end. I did have my laptop yesterday to play on, so I was going crazy! I was a lot smarter today, I brought lappie!

This morning we are doing more of that writing stuff. This afternoon, we're going on a "field trip". I'm taking a guess that it's bowling that we're doing. The description was "picking up a spare", and it's requires socks. Those of you that know me know that I do not bowl. Do you like the funny picture I picked. It made me laugh. The last time I went bowling was 7 years ago, a few days before I began my first year of teaching. I was on a blind date with another friend of mine. We went cosmic bowling. On one of my turns, I walked up there, next thing that I know I feel a horrible pain in my knee. Looking down my knee has dislocated. I obviously can't walk with it sticking out to the side. I feel like I'm going to pass out, so I have one option, push it back in place. Yes, I did that! The doctor the next day was shocked that I did that on my own, but I really didn't have another choice from how I saw it. Of course I tore all sorts of thing in my knee, and was on crutches for my first few months of my teaching career. Never been bowling since. I definitely don't associate it with a good experience. I know it wasn't bowling that messed my knee up, but I have no desire to relive such an experience.

Well, now that I've told you my long story, I'm really not thrilled about this little "field trip" today. First of all I have a bazillion things I need to get done here at school in my classroom, and with getting materials and such ready for the new year. I also would love to go to Target or Lakeshore and get supplies that I need. The thought of going to a social, not to mention something I hate doing does not sound like a good use of my time. I'm thinking I will be opting out of this thrilling outing.

Shopping! Shopping!

We're home! We got back from Park City today around noon. I'm was so exhausted I took a 2 hour nap. It's funny to me how you go on a get away to relax and take it easy, which I did for the most part, yet on coming back you feel you need a vacation from your vacation. We stayed in a great place in The Canyons called Silverado. I guess it's only been open since February, or some such recent time. Very nice and fancy! We had a blast. Of course I hit the outlets. YAY!! I found an adorable little skirt at Bass. I was trying to look for a picture of it online, but as of yet I haven't found one. It's so cute!!! Hits a little below my knees about, white, scalloped edging, fun little cut outs of flowers along the bottom. So much fun! Can't wait until I can try it out. That was my only purchase, but I was quite satisfied in having found something I loved.

Not looking forward in going back to school tomorrow. Sort of dreading the thought of putting my classroom back together again. Urgh! I guess you can't make time stand still for too long. :) It is nice to have a whole day to myself to work on things. I love teacher work days, I think we should have a bazillion of these! Hehe. I have a great time chatting it up with my other teacher friends. Okay, so I do spend some time actually working, but still it turns out to be great. I'm hoping to still wake up early enough tomorrow morning to get some Pilates in. We'll see if that really happens.

Park City Outlets Here I Come

Remember how I wanted to go to Vegas for my anniversary? Well, as I'm sure you've noticed, with my anniversary being last Saturday, it came and went and no Vegas. By the time Matt and I finally decided that he DID want to go to Vegas, that was only with a little persuasion of mine, the price of the room and Phantom tickets had gone up like $200 or more. I was very disappointed to say the least. :( When I get my little heart set on something, especially when it comes to traveling, my favorite thing to do, I get quite disappointed when it doesn't turn out the way I'd like. After putting my Vegas idea to the side, maybe September or December would work :), I started looking at other less expensive get aways. My next venture was going to the Homestead in Midway. But alas, once again, the prices were not really in our price range. Yet another disappointment. I finally had to give up on my anniversary vacation.

Don't worry, my next plan was to do something the following weekend, being this coming weekend of course. We found a fun little place in Park City. It's actually a brochure thing we got when we went to Jackson Hole this past March for our annual Snowmobiling competition/ hill climb extravaganza. We pay $40 for 2 nights stay in Park City at some newerish spa/resort, and then Saturday we have to listen to their 60 min. spiel of their time share canoozle! Whatever, I think it's worth it to finally get my somewhat of a vacation. I go back to school on Monday for teacher meetings, so I need to get in my fun while I can. Yay! We'll be leaving Friday night, after Matt's uncle's wedding ceremony that starts at 6:00. They better hurry and do their "I Do's" quicky is all I have to say about that. :)

Addicted to Bloggin'

71%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?

Okay, so I stole this fun quiz from Liz's blog. Hehe! Its actually a bit higher than I thought it would be since I don't blog quite as often as I should. But hey, I am somewhat addicted. Especially after going through the quiz I realize I do some pretty dang hilarious things when it comes to blogging. So try it out and see what your score is. I'm entertained easily!

2 Years

We had our anniversary on Saturday. It was a great day! We didn't do anything especially different, but it was just nice to spend the day together. It's crazy at times to think we've been married for 2 years now. Time goes by quickly, yet I can still remember things like it was only yesterday. I sound old saying such a thing. Hehe

We ended up going to Log Haven, up Milcreek Canyon, for dinner. It was delicious!! We'd never been there before, I would highly recommend for a special occasion. It was fun. I gave Matt some Sketcher shoes, hoping he'd like such a thing since I'm usually the shoe girl. I figured his other everyday shoes, not work boots mind you, are wearing out and now have paint on them. Besides, he doesn't usually buy shoes for himself unless its a need. It was a need somewhat, but I thought it would be nice to have nice shoes for dates and such. Hope he didn't find it to be a stupid gift. :)

He gave me a pretty white gold necklace dangly with an amethyst on the end. Very pretty. He's great at buying me jewelry and pretty sparklies! He also gave me the DVD Bridge to Terabithia. I loved that movie since I'm such a kid at heart. Give me a kid movie anytime and I'll be content. Life is grand.

For All That is Holy

Guess what Matt bought the other day? A monster flat screen TV. I think one of you gals was talking about how your husband wanted one, right? Well, Matt has also been talking and talking about getting one. Of course there's not a heck of a lot of room in our apartment, so I wasn't exactly for it. This isn't really the exact picture of the TV, but I couldn't find one and this was the best I could do. It's at big as the one my dad has in his basement. So if you've seen that, you'll know how big. Hehe One of the guys that Matt works with was selling his for $400 because the guys parents were giving him a new one. It's a Sony, not exactly sure how big, but HUGE. It doesn't look too bad now that we have it in place and all set up. I can watch TV now at night without having to put my glasses on, so it does have its advantages now. :)

We're watching 24 at the moment. Love that show. We're almost done with Season 2. Yay! Did I mention that Matt bought me Season 3. Excited about that! We're also very addicted to Lost as well. Thank you to those that suggested it, we love it. We finished Season 1 just yesterday. Now I need to request Season 2 from the library. I don't know how I'll ever be able to watch it on TV. I don't think I'd be very patient in waiting a week or so until the next episode is on. I enjoy watching as often as I want with no commercials. Best way to watch shows. Gotta love DVD's. I just wish I had a DVR or such now. Maybe some day!

I NEED it!

Those of you that know how much I LOVE card making, and doing crafty things like that, know how absolutely obsessed I am with anything at Roberts, and anything at Stampin' Up. I could give you a list of at least a bazillion Stampin' Up products that I just need! I NEED them!! This past Saturday my sister, 2 of the girls in our card club, and myself went to a Hostess Appreciation party for Stampin' Up. After looking through the catalog I added to my list of needs, and I'm trying to figure out what I shall buy first. I also used a Coluzzle for the first time. I used to look at those and think, "how the freakin heck do you use that?" Now the Coluzzle in on my "need" list.

Tonight Matt and I went shopping for shoes. Let me clarify, shoes for HIM. See how nice I am! Our anniversary is coming up, Saturday to be exact, and I suggested that I wanted to buy him new shoes since his old ones are literally worn through. Sadly, we didn't find him any shoes, and I might add, I didn't even look for any for myself. Ha! On our drive home, my sister called and told me that Roberts has all their Coluzzle stuff 75% off. She went there hoping to get one Coluzzle item using their 50% of coupon, and lo and behold all of it was 75%. Needless to say I'm very excited to head over to Roberts tomorrow morning to get my fun Coluzzle stuff.
