Last night I was over at my parents house after a very long day of teaching and then a 3 hour sewing class. I needed to relax. I needed to unwind. I needed a very long massage (hmm...maybe soon). Lucky for me my cute little niece, Lexi, was upstairs and ready to play. I was chased by the "tickle monster", told to "run for my life", and spent some time in the "teepee tent" with pillows and blankets. I love that I'm called "Menanie", given random hugs, and get to have silly play time with my favorite 2 year old. It was a much needed end to my day.
I love being an aunt! Since I don't have any children of my own, and probably won't anytime soon. Or ever for that matter.....lets be realistic, I'm over 30, here in Utah I'm past my "expiration date", chances of birth defects and complications become greater every day, not to mention doctors have hinted at my limited amount of time. In the meantime, I live vicariously through others that have children. Being a teacher I get to see lots of cute kiddos every day. And thanks to my brother and sister, I have lots of opportunities to spend time with my nephew and nieces. :)

Don't lose hope. I have a cousin who is pregnant with her 5th child at age 38. She had her 4th baby about a year in half ago. No problems. Also, remember Aunt Cara? She had Charlette when she was well over 40...
Your "season" isn't over yet.
