I love Paris!

One of my dream vacations has always been to go to Paris, France. My parents are going to Paris the end of May and I have been given the option to go with, if I would like. How exciting is that? The only problem I have is how expensive it's going to be. The plane tickets will be about $1200 round trip, and then if you add food and shopping expenses I'm guessing another $800. Ouch! $2000 is kind of a lot of money, especially when I don't have it. I would have to put everything on my credit card since I don't have anything saved.

Should I do it and work out of control crazy for the next couple years on trying to pay it off? Or should I pass on this one, and maybe plan for next time when they go to Germany possibly? Or maybe do both?! I'm definitely torn between going on my perfect vacation and getting in more debt or missing out and saving on money that I really don't have to begin with. Any suggestions from anyone?

you are only young once YOU SHOULD DO IT! who knows if you will ever be able to go again. I work for Marriott so I can see if I can get you a discount on hotel if you want. that coudl save you a little money. So my suggestion is DO IT! GO!!! You will have the time of your life!!! Plus just think how fun it will be to have quality time with just YOU and your parents!! :)

Ahh That is a hard one to figure out. I know what you mean about wether saving for it later or going. That is a tuff one to beat. But, you know my benefits. But, I could ask Dave to see if there is any one with a buddy pass.

I might have to pass on Paris to save for Germany. I really loved Germany and we even hit the south of France which I really loved as well. That is just me but I would hold out for Germany... You're German after all.
