Just One More...I Promise

I couldn't resist. I seriously love this guy. I had to share one more.

Terry Fator - What a Wonderful World

Wow! How cool is this guy? Like seriously, I couldn't sing without moving my lips, not to mention impersonating someone. Okay, so maybe I just couldn't sing at all. Enjoy.

Vinyl Lettering

I have always coveted the vinyl lettering people have on their walls in their homes. My sister has an adorable one in her closet that I've liked forever. I received an email not too long ago about ordering vinyl lettering from Uppercase Living Vinyl Lettering. You can view the catalog here. Enter Demonstrator ID 803153 and the registration token is smith. Then you will create your own login. I had the hardest time deciding which ones I wanted of course. I ordered $59 worth including tax and shipping, but was able to receive 25% off and 2 free expressions. Woo hoo!! I ordered a saying for above my pantry in my kitchen, "Life's Short...Eat Dessert First", a saying for a tile to put on a shelf up my stairway, "Life's Little Wonders Are There For the Picking", plus my free ones, "Bloom"and "Dream". I can't wait to get them in the mail. I'll have to post pictures when I get them up.

Moment of Happiness

I got a nice surprise during school today. One of my sweet teacher friends sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers to cheer me up. Thats the picture I took when I got home today, with the background of my kitchen. How absolutely gorgeous are they?! I told her it helped brighten up my not so happy day today, if only for a moment. And what a wonderful scent I have throughout most of my house now. I love that! I seriously started to cry just knowing how much she cares and how thoughtful that was. I'm so thankful for all of the dear, sweet friends I have. Thank you to all of you for keeping me in your prayers and giving me uplifting thoughts and comments. I appreciate knowing I'm loved.

A Little Taste of Reality

It's finally happening. Matt and I are going to file for divorce. Wow, it seems so weird to say those words. I guess I always knew it was going to happen, but it's the reality of it that's killing me. I didn't sleep much last night, and had the hardest time getting up and out of bed this morning. I'm hoping I can pass off my tear stained, swollen eyed, red nosed face as allergies or a cold. It's that season, right? In some ways it's nice that I'm back on track again, in that being at school is keeping my mind occupied, I just hope I can make it through the day without too many breakdowns. I'm trying to take things a day at a time, just surviving, ya know. If I think about too much it becomes too overwhelming and I have my meltdown.

Thanks to my wonderful mom and dad for coming to visit me last night, and for my dad's spending the night in my spare bed. I don't know what I'd do without the support of my fabulous family and great friends that care so much. If I could just figure out a way to fast forward my life a few million months past right now I'd feel a lot better I'm sure.

My How Time Flies...

I can't believe I go back to school tomorrow. I'm really not ready. Most of the time when it's time to go back on track I'm pretty ready to see my kids again and get back to work. This time seems different, though I can't quite figure out why. Oh well, I'm sure once I get back into it, I'll be more ready.

About a week ago I got a phone call from a friend of mine, Mindy, that I haven't talked to since high school. Crazy stuff huh? She said that she'd heard about my sister's stroke. Her parents are in the same ward as my parent's friends, and somehow heard them talking or some such something. Mindy's mom called her and told her, since she knew Mindy knew me from school. It got Mindy thinking about mom, so she looked up my parent's names and called and asked for my number. Fun huh? It was so great hearing from her. We were best friends throughout middle school, and were both in Color Guard in high school. We met a few nights ago for dinner and had a fabulous time catching up. She's been married now for 10 years (I do remember going to her wedding), has 2 beautiful daughters, ages 6 and 2. She works part time for a payroll department, and full time as a mom of course. We laughed about the good ol' days. New Kids on the Block tapes, sleepovers, old boyfriends, things you gotta love.

What the?!

The other day I was online looking at my bank checking account, balancing my check book and all that fun stuff. I noticed a withdrawl of $40. It stood out to me since I rarely withdraw any amount of money. I just never carry cash around, unless I do a book order at school of course. I spent most of the afternoon yesterday calling my bank and talking to at least a dozen different people that were no help whatsoever.
I ended up driving over to my branch, talking to the manager, who was a wonderful help. Yay! Finally. They found out the withdrawl was made at the Rose Park Branch, okay, yeah, never been there in my life, it's obviously not me. He requested a copy of the receipt, which I called about today seeing if it had come in yet. I was praying that it was just a mistake from the teller typing in the wrong number. Guess what? They couldn't find the darn thing. Isn't that just my luck? Now I get to panic about identity theft.
Now I have to call the West Jordan Police Department, file a fraud report, get a case number, give it to my bank. Then close my account, get a new number, new debit card, order new checks (I just ordered some about a month ago for my new address by the way). I hate the hassle of it all. But on the other hand, I'd rather be safe and not have to worry about having more withdrawls and thousands of dollars taken out.

The Office

I saw a commercial the other week saying that The Office will be starting back up again on April 10th. It's about time I say. I've been missing this show. My DVR has been recording the past episodes on TBS, but I've been anxiously waiting for the new episodes to come back. I don't know what I ever did without my DVR, thats all I watch lately.

Dancing with the Stars

I was so excited that this started again last night. Did anyone else watch it? I must say, I haven't watched it yet, I wasn't home most of last night. But I did DVR it, which means its waiting at home for me. Now if I can just get through this blasted class today and hurry home. Yay! And hooray for it being on again tonight. I love this show, though I haven't decided yet who my favorite is going to be.

Guitar Hero

I'm not a big video game junkie, though I do find games every now and then that I just fall in love with and become quite addicted to for a time. For example, SSX Tricky for Playstation 2 was one of my favs for a long time. Last night I played Guitar Hero 2. Love that game, and yes, it's quite addictive. I think I might even have some blisters this morning from playing non stop for over an hour.

I'm glad I don't have a Playstation 2, or I just might be tempted to go out and buy the new Guitar Hero 3. Seriously, some of these video games are so fun. And since I'm talking about it, I really do want one of those Wii systems, how fun does that look.

A Little Somethin' Somethin'

Old Navy is having a wonderful, buy 2 for $20 or some such price sale. I headed over there today on the hunt for a birthday gift for one of my friends. Of course I think I ended up with way more for myself than I had intended. Couldn't resist the great sales going on. This is one of the polo shirts I got, only mine is a purple stripe, not the blue. And I also got a blue with small white stripes. Very cute! So check out Old Navy before the sale is gone. They've got some great deals on men's and children's clothes as well. I seriously could've spent a fortune in there today. And with this nice weather today I'm getting very anxious for spring.

Sassy Silhouettes

Look at these adorable new stamps I got. How fun are these babies? I was enjoying my search on splitcoaststamper the other week and ran across the fun Sassy Silhouette stamps made by Stampendous. Find them here. Oh, and some more fun Stampendous stamps are here. My sister and I have the cute Bee Happy stamp. Love it. Shipping was pretty cheap and I have many ideas for my card making on what to use these cute Silhouette's for. Yay! I can't resist stamps. I have quite the addiction. I'm always looking for a great deal.

Great Times

Tuesday night, Liz and I were finally able to get together and have some great food and great chats. Yay! We had a blast. First we went to Johnny Carinos, and had some yummy pasta. Thanks again Liz for having a great Girl's Night with me.

Wednesday afternoon, my friend, Kamie, and her 2 cute kiddos came over and brought some lunch to eat with me. Once again, it was great times. It seems we have so much to catch up with. I can't believe how big her kids are. They're cuties. I'm so grateful for such wonderful friends! Thanks for caring about me and staying in touch.
